UniteWomen.org is proud to announce our partnership with the Women’s March on Washington and it’s sister marches around the country. In April of 2012, women across the country came together to organize Unite Against The War on Women, with 55 rallies in 45 states. This was a grassroots effort to stand against the plethora of laws introduced across the country eroding the rights of women and their families. The rallies were only the beginning of our work as UniteWomen.org to educate about and fight against the injustices perpetrated on so many in our country.
The Women’s March on Washington and across the country on January 21st will send a clear message to the Republican Party and Donald Trump that we reject their misogynistic, racist, homophobic, transmisogynistic, xenophobic, anti-immigrant agenda.
The March will once again only be the beginning of our work as a group of diverse organizations and individuals.
UniteWomen.org is in full agreement with the Women’s March on Washington’s mission statement:
“We stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families – recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.”
